My name is Florian Winkler.

I was born in 1977 in Regensburg, Germany. After first having lessons for harp and trombone, I began to play the bassoon at the age of 14.
Later, I studied bassoon at the School of Music in Nuernberg-Augsburg with Prof. Karsten Nagel.

Following a 2 year engagement as Assistant-Principal Bassoonist in the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, I have been a member of the Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra since 2005.

In addition to my orchestral, chamber music and solo playing, I have become more and more specialized in reed making.
